U.S. SDE Employer Map

A practical longlist for compensation, benefits, work-life balance, culture, and U.S. immigration support. Search it like a database; validate it like a decision.

What this isA broad target map spanning large-cap employers, public/mid-cap firms, and well-funded growth companies.
Sponsorship history“Extensive” and “Established” mean public historical H‑1B/LCA activity. Neither confirms a specific job opening will sponsor.
WLB / cultureDirectional research signal only. Social posts and reviews are mixed, stale quickly, and vary sharply by manager, org, on-call, and RTO policy.

How the list was assembled

Primary evidence: U.S. Department of Labor LCA disclosure data, USCIS guidance, official career portals, and compensation submissions. SDE I / II values are estimated annual U.S. total-compensation bands based on the pay tier, not employer-specific offer averages. Community sources (Reddit, Blind, X/Twitter, Glassdoor) are used only to generate questions and identify recurring themes—not to state a culture fact. Every target still needs a role-by-role sponsorship check.

Before applying

  1. Open the exact role and search its work-authorization language.
  2. Ask recruiting: “Does this requisition sponsor H‑1B and support STEM OPT?”
  3. Check recent role-level LCA activity and E‑Verify requirement for STEM OPT.

During interviews

  1. Ask about on-call frequency, weekend escalation, and incident load.
  2. Ask the manager how performance reviews, promotion, and team mobility work.
  3. Ask whether office days are fixed, manager-led, or location-specific.

At offer stage

  1. Compare 4-year equity, vesting, refreshers, bonus, healthcare, and relocation.
  2. Confirm immigration policy, vendor, filing timing, and green-card process in writing.
  3. Speak privately with two engineers from the exact team—not just recruiters.
